Feeling a little less wise… Ever since getting my wisdom teeth out a week ago I have been waiting for the right moment to use that cheesy dad joke. As much as I hate going to the dentist, I am thankful to have had access to one so quickly after experiencing some pretty major tooth pain. I am looking forward to a quick trip to the states next week to attend my sister’s wedding. I can’t wait to celebrate with you all! We just completed the first quarter at school and it really has been a great start to the year. I had the opportunity to speak in chapel a couple times this quarter and in each I worked to answer a big question: Who is God? and Why Christianity? I will get the chance to speak at least one more time soon and I plan to complete the “series” by answering one more question: I am a Christ follower, so what? I felt led to highlight these three vital questions. Learning about God’s character, explaining why Christianity makes sense in light of all the other options in the world, and why it should matter. It seems that it has been received well so far. Please pray that my students’ hearts would be softened to God’s word and they would truly be transformed by His love. I have also begun meeting with all of the male students that I teach one at a time. I order lunch for us and then we just talk life, God, and everything in between. This has been something on my heart since last year and I am thankful to be working towards discipling the students that God has placed in my life. Please pray that I would have wisdom in these interactions and that God would use these conversations to bring these boys closer to Himself. IT’S HAPPENING!
